MM Approval Reporting
Watch every PR/PO approval from one screen — nudge what's pending, measure your approvers.
What problem does it solve?
PR and PO approval processes are tracked in scattered ways; which document is waiting with whom, and where it's stuck, isn't visible — approvals slip. There's no data on approver performance either.
How does the solution work?
Conforcus's MM approval reporting solution makes all PR/PO approval processes monitorable from one place; it sends reminders for pending approvals and produces per-approver statistics. Bottlenecks become instantly visible.
What changes in practice?
The report reads MM release strategy data and brings the PRs and POs in the approval process into one list, where the approval step each document has reached and the approver it is waiting with are visible on the same screen. The list can be narrowed by criteria such as purchasing organization, purchasing group, document type or approver. For pending approvals, the automated reminder mechanism notifies the approver concerned, so follow-up is handled by the system rather than by buyers calling people one by one.
The per-approver statistics show by name where approvals accumulate and where the process slows down. With that data the procurement manager can assess, in concrete terms, how the approval load is distributed and how the approval steps are working. In day-to-day work the team no longer opens documents one by one to learn their status; where an urgent request is waiting is read from the collective view. Reminders keep pending approvals on the approver's agenda and reduce delays. Internal audit follows the functioning of the approval process from the same source.

Frequently asked questions
What data does the report read, and which documents does it cover?
The report reads PR and PO release strategy data in MM, so it covers purchase requisitions and purchase orders that are subject to a release strategy. For each document it shows the stage the approval has reached and who it is waiting with. As the data comes from the approval records inside SAP, there is no need to keep a separate tracking list.
What do the approver statistics show, and how do we recognize a bottleneck?
Statistics are produced per approver; indicators such as where pending approvals accumulate and how long approvals take to conclude point to the bottleneck by name. Management assesses the approval process on measured data rather than personal impression. The same data becomes the basis for improvements to the approval process.
How do reminders for pending approvals work?
Reminders are part of the solution: the automated reminder mechanism notifies the relevant approver about PRs and POs awaiting approval. Under which conditions and how often a reminder is sent is defined during implementation according to the company's needs. Pending approvals thus become visible and delays are reduced.
