SAP consulting for manufacturing companies
In a manufacturing company, finance's first question is what a product really costs. Conforcus combines its expertise in product costing, Material Ledger and PP-CO integration with S/4HANA transformation, multi-country rollout and ongoing SAP support (AMS).
The hard part of SAP in manufacturing is getting shop-floor activity into the books correctly. Bills of material, routings and work centres set the standard cost; order variances, price differences and period-end allocations set the actual cost. When one link is weak, inventory value, cost of goods sold and product profitability stop agreeing. In Türkiye, 7-series cost accounts, reflection postings and inflation accounting add another layer.
Manufacturing is the sector Conforcus knows best. We design CO product costing, Material Ledger actual costing and the PP production order flow as one model, and connect MM purchasing, inventory and approvals to it. On that core come S/4HANA transformation, rollouts to plants abroad and AMS. Ready-made solutions such as the COGS statement, mass CKM3N inventory report and account 710 actualization keep closing steps inside SAP.
What makes SAP hard in manufacturing
- Standard and actual cost drift apart until month-end, and variances cannot be traced to an order.
- The Material Ledger close runs long; price differences, opening entries and 7-series actualizations are fixed manually.
- Purchasing, goods movement and invoice approvals run in e-mail and Excel, leaving no trail in SAP.
- Plants abroad use different systems and charts of accounts, so group reporting is rebuilt every month.
What Conforcus delivers for manufacturers
- CO-integrated product costing and Material Ledger design: standard cost, actual cost and variances in one model.
- PP production planning integrated with the actual cost flow, from production order to period close.
- Ready-made solutions: COGS statement, mass CKM3N inventory report, account 710 actualization, MR22 price differences, MM approvals, inflation accounting.
- S/4HANA transformation, rollouts to plants abroad and SAP AMS support after go-live.

Frequently asked questions
How do you set up actual costing (Material Ledger)?
Actual costing works when product costing, PP order flow and MM inventory movements are designed together. We build them as one model and use our MR22 and account 710 programs at close.
How do you run a rollout to our plants abroad?
We keep the central process and account structure and cover each country's legal and tax requirements through localization. Our rollout references include five countries at Borusan Birleşik Boru and six locations at Arçelik.
Can we run inflation accounting inside SAP?
Yes. Our inflation accounting solution runs in SAP FI and is live in 25+ companies, including Netzsch and Arçelik Pazarlama in manufacturing.
